SENIOR PRODUCT MANAGER

About the Position

As a Senior Product Manager, you will be responsible for end-to-end project management of large-scale website and app creation.  You are responsible for your team delivering a completed project on time, on specification, and on budget. You are expected to know your clients’ digital products inside and out, ensuring delivery adheres to the client’s product and brand strategy, creates the most desirable user experience, and is properly executed in development.

You must demonstrate an excellent understanding of project management tools and best-practice methodology, and flexibility to lead diverse and dynamic teams to deliver best-in-class products.​

The Senior Product Manager may directly manage other product managers.

Responsibilities
  • Manage large projects independently from initiation through completion.
  • Support internal teams, giving them space and time to create strong work, while maximizing efficiency.
  • Serve as the expert on the client’s digital product(s), working with teams in a fast-paced agency environment.
  • Partner with the Client Services team to ensure a smooth process and proper resource allocation.
  • Client-facing communication, such as helping define and maintain vision, clarifying strategic requirements, demystifying complex ideas, and managing client expectations.
  • Develop realistic and justifiable estimates, scopes and timelines for all projects, and be accountable for the scope and budget as the project progresses.
  • Track ongoing costs throughout project lifecycle.
  • Proactively identify project issues/risks, assist in issue/risk resolution.
  • Meet regularly with Product Management and Client Services leadership to contribute toward the overall development and health of the account.
  • Manage senior-level relationships and is viewed as a value-added partner.
  • Create and delivers compelling and persuasive arguments. Is in command of the audience and turns presentations into constructive dialogue moving the group to conclusions.
  • Is a mature, calm leader of the internal cross-functional team – inspires team to strive for superior client work and results and to increase team accomplishments. Proactively identifies and solves for conflict among team members.
Requirements
  • 5-7 years of project management, production, and/or product management experience building websites and apps in an agency or similar environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to solve problems with the solution that works for all parties without compromising the quality of the deliverables or the project.
  • Innate understanding of the project finance, staffing and profitability and the relationship to project management.
  • Solid understanding of production methodologies, and the product development process, Experience Design, Product Design, Technology (web and application development), Analytics, etc.
  • Successful history of project leadership to clients and account, with demonstrable experience in setting and managing stakeholder expectations.
  • A professional but approachable demeanor, and the ability to handle with grace and humor the uncertainties associated with agency work.
  • Proficiency with timeline creation software such as Microsoft Project, Smartsheet, etc; Project Management tools such as Basecamp, Trello, Airtable, JIRA/Confluence; Word, Excel, Keynote.
  • Travel required
  • Nice to have: PMP Certification or Scrum Master Certification
