About the Position

Rokkan is currently looking for an Account Director to lead a key account, at our growing agency.

The Client Partnership team plays a pivotal role in the agency in two ways, first and foremost, we roll up our sleeves and dig deeply into our client’s businesses and organizations to intuitively understand their organizations and competitive environments and to provide clarity and strategic direction that leads to success. Second, and no less important, we are also the client’s direct link to the agency and we are the ones who connect clients to our projects, our work, and our thinking. We represent their interests, brand and vision, and promote a healthy tension with internal stakeholders as we fight for what’s in our clients’ best interests.

  • Manage a large-scale client relationship and engage client in a regular dialogue about their business and help them address challenges and identify areas of opportunity
  • Ensure the account, strategy, creative, and production teams are driving towards a singular vision and are equipped with all the information, tools and support necessary to execute best-in-industry digital strategies and experiences.
  • Bring in Subject Matter experts and key stakeholders to assist the the client wade through complex, and at times, overwhelming amounts of business data while defining key trends and patterns and leveraging deep digital expertise and leadership to provide a roadmap for success.
  • Manage a Client Partnership support staff while leading an interdisciplinary team of creative, UX, technology, production & program management and strategy specialists to collaboratively solve client challenges, and design and build complex multiplatform digital experiences.
  • Act as main liaison with Client’s cross-partner Agency teams inclusive of weekly status calls and attendance at and active participation in in-person meetings and workshops.
  • Manage oversight of Agency’s cross-functional teams while also diving in appropriately on day-to-day tactical executions, workstreams and efforts.
  • This is a must, you’ve got to be a rock star and understand digital platforms, technology, and best practices. It’s that knowledge that you’ll have to tap when solving client challenges.
  • Though Rokkan’s remit has foundational ties to Digital efforts—as this business has grown over the years, an Account Director leading this business must possess a strong knowledge and understanding of successful omni-channel marketing efforts for brands inclusive of .com, digital paid media, Content Creation and CRM (email).
  • 5 – 7 years of work experience within digital having helped businesses develop and implement impactful digital strategies.
  • Truly understand platform (i.e. Website and app) in addition to social and digital.
  • Experience building relationships from scratch and developing one time engagements into long-term partnerships.
  • Ability to lead interdisciplinary teams through complex business problems.
  • Worked at a cutting edge digital agency or at a strategy consultancy having helped clients overcome complex business challenges and having helped clients to have leveraged digital to create real business value.
  • Experience managing large scale digital projects across multiple channels (.com, mobile, social)
  • Involvement with overseeing and managing the production of still and video content to be used across multiple communication channels inclusive of experience with development of paid media banners.
  • Earned a bachelor’s degree. Advanced degree desirable, MBA would be a plus.
